Velma Fahie

Velma Fahie was born on the island of Tortola. Velma has worked at Department of Property and Procurement, Sugar Beach Resort, Renaissances Grand Beach Resort, Corporation and Trademarks, Ronald W. Belfon, P. C. and presently Legal Services of the Virgin Islands.

Velma joined the LSVI team with over 5 years of administrative support experience. She is a caring, understanding, fun-loving and out- going person and is referred to as a supermom!

She is grateful for the opportunity to be working with such wonderful and caring people that we call ‘family” at Legal Services of the Virgin Islands, Inc. Velma serves as the Legal Support/Disaster Hotline Operator for St.Thomas.

Krystal Isaac

Krystal Isaac has been a part of the team at Legal Services of the Virgin Islands since 2008. Krystal is part of the Legal Support team and also serves as the Disaster Coordinator for the St.Thomas office. She has worked within the legal community for over 15 years alongside attorneys and has handled criminal, family and civil cases. She is the proud mother of a handsome and intelligent little boy who also happens to be her pride and joy, stealing her heart from day one. Described by many as a generous, caring, fun-loving and creative individual, she can often be found bonding, with family or helping others. She lives by the quote “A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal”.

Maribel Gray

With over 20 years of experience garnered from working at one of the largest legal firms in the Virgin Islands, Maribel assists the Executive Director and Director of Finance & Administration with administrative and finance related tasks.  Maribel has been a volunteer for various hurricane recovery efforts over the years and also serves as LSVI’s Assistant Disaster Hotline Coordinator. Ready to explore new areas, Maribel briefly left the legal support community and joined the medical field for five years where she was employed as a Medical Assistant where she loved serving those in need. Passionate about her work, Maribel returned to the legal field and continues to thrive at Legal Services where she supports the Victim of Crimes Act (VOCA) and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant fiscal reporting.

Shelby King Gaddy, Esq.

Attorney Gaddy serves as the Executive Director of Legal Services of the Virgin Islands, Inc. Prior to joining Legal Services of the Virgin Islands, Inc., Attorney Gaddy specialized in public and municipal finance, commercial banking and real estate transactions and represented many public agencies and non-profit organizations. Since 2007, when she joined the Legal Services team, she has been a voice for equal access to justice by recruiting members of the private bar to provide pro bono services and legal representation for the poor and vulnerable members of our community. As a staff attorney, she has advocated for equal justice for the less-fortunate and under-represented persons in the Virgin Islands. She has served as the Chair for the VI Bar’s Access to Justice Committee for three years and is serving as the Interim Chair of the Virgin Islands Access to Justice Commission.
