Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP)

Senior Medicare Patrol programs, or SMPs, help Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries prevent, detect and report health care fraud. Not only does the program protect older persons, but they also help preserve the integrity of the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

Due to its nature, the Senior Medicare Patrol program requires face to face contact to be most effective and relies on approximately 5,000 volunteers who are active each year to help in this effort.

If you feel you’ve been the victim of Medicare or Medicaid fraud or interested in volunteering, please contact the Virgin Islands Senior Medicare Patrol at or 340-718-2626.
